Sunday 21st May 2023 was the date of the 11th Spen Valley Annual Gala. The weather was fantastic and the support from Parents/friends/supporters and the public was great. This event is the main fund raiser for the group and helps go towards paying the running costs for the group for the next 12 months.
A big thanks to our guests Kim Leadbeater MP, Spen Valley Scout & Guide Band, The P.M Gibson School Of Theatre Dance and Spen Valley District Scouts not forgetting the leaders/parents and supporters of the 11th Spen Valley Scout Group.
At the start of the afternoon Spen Valley Scouts Lead Volunteer David Sowden presented a 5 year long service award to our outgoing Group Treasurer Christine, and a representative from the Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice received a cheque for £175.00 which was the money taken at the District St Georges Day Celebration back in April.
